Passenger screened at Vasco Railway station, borders begins

On the heels of the Maharashtra government decision to check all travellers from Goa, the state government too has started testing people entering the state. On Wednesday, testing started at the Goa borders as well as the Vasco railway station.



Passengers coming by train to the Vasco Railways station will now be screened by the state administration team. Vasco Railway station manager, Ramdas Gudemane on Wednesday afternoon said that there were passengers arriving by the trains coming to Vasco railway station. Goa Express and Yeshwantpur express will arrive on Thursday morning and passengers of both the trains will be screened upon arrival. Around 150 to 200 passengers will arrive by the Goa Express and around 100 passengers will by the Yeshwantpur express.


People should not visit GMC for covid test intended to travel. Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has already directed GMC and DHS. RTPCR tests are carried out till date by GMC and DHS. Those who intend to travel they should take their certificates from district hospitals in South and North Goa, appealed Health Minister.
