Active cases in India sees drop for the 4th straight day

India's active coronavirus cases remained below 6 lakh for the fourth consecutive day, with the number of active cases standing at 5.61 lakhs. The total number of cases have reached 82.29 lakhs after a single-day spike of more than 45,000 cases.

A single day jump of 45,231 covid-19 cases were reported in India. In the last 24 hours 496 deaths were reported and 53,285 patients have recovered.

India has reported 82,29,313 covid-19 positive cases till date. And the active cases stands at 5.61 lakh. 1,22,607 deaths are reported and 75,44,798 patients have recovered.

Here are five worst hit coronavirus states. Maharashtra is leading with 16.83 lakh mark of covid-19 cases followed by Andhra Pradesh 8.27 lakh, Karnataka 08.25 lakh, Tamil Nadu 7.27 lakh and UP 4.83 lakh.

More than 4 lakh cases were reported worldwide in single day. The global cases have reached 4.68 crore, 12.05 lakh deaths are reported and 3.37 crore have recovered.

Here are the five worst hit coronavirus nations. United States is leading with more than 89.52 lakh cases followed by 2nd worst hit nation India 82.29 lakh cases, Brazil 55.16 lakh cases, Russia 16.36 Lakh cases and France with 13.31 lakh cases.
