Shirgao village completely sealed on day of Lairai jatra

Shirgao village from Mayem constituency has been completely sealed. Two road approaching the village from Poira and Assnora has been sealed. The Shirgao Lairai jatra scheduled on Tuesday has been cancelled due to lockdown.

All social gathering are canceled due to corona. Lairai Jatra of Shirgao is one of the famous jatra of Goa. People not only gather during the day of jatra but for next 5 days to take kaul of goddess Lairai.

The homkhand was not lit as jatra was canceled. All borders of villages are completely sealed. Bicholim PI Sanjeev Dalvi spoke to Goa 365 on the issue.
