Goa airport remained open throughout lockdown

Even though many airports shut down their services during the lockdown , Goa remained operational throughout, offering repatriation services to foreign nationals and bringing back Indians stranded abroad.

 As the nation marked one year of lockdowm,  Goa International Airport Director Gagan Malik said despite many airports being shut due to Covid 19, Goa Airport remained open throughout.

He said Goa airport handled relief flights, repatriation flights and Vande Bharat mission flights. Airport director Gagan Malik recalled the experience of the entire year including the initial stages of lockdown
