On the run murder accused, Hemant Desai finally behind the bars

After nearly a week Suryakant Desai was killed by his own family members, Curchorem police fnally arrested prime accused in the case Hemant Desai who was absconding since the murder.
He was reportedly found in Keri, Sattari forest.
His mother, 55-year old Shevanti is already arrested & sent to 14-day judicial custody at Colvale.
Suryakant was killed on 24 Feb, over the disputed compound wall at Xelvon.
Police had been under pressure after 50 villagers marched towards the police station on February 28 demanding accused Hemant’s arrest.
Even the local MLA Nilesh Cabral had extended support to the villagers.
Hemant’s anticipatory bail was earlier rejected by Madgaon court.
