BJP has failed to protect women: Mahila Congress

Goa Mahila Congress took the march against ruling BJP, accusing the party going lenient in the case.



Past entire week, our country has been seething with anger over several rape cases that are coming to light.

Justice for Asifa, Justice for Unnao victim, victim in Surat and latest a case coming to light from Uttar Pradesh.

Not just national media but these cases have made headlines internationally. 

While the latest heinous crimes against women has once against raised questions on women’s security, Union minister of Women and Child Development Maneka Gandhi has asked her department to work on a proposal to amend the POCSO law to bring in the provision of death penalty for the rape of a minor below the age of 12 years.
