ACB arrests 7 including police constable for extortion

The anti Corruption Branch arrested seven people including a police constable for posing as a team of ACB at Cancona and extorting money from truckers.
The accused were posing as the ACB sleuths and stopping vehicles at the border, under the pretext of checking documents and extorting money from truck owners at night.
The incident came to light when a truck operator complained against the harassment at the border by ACB officers.
PIs Gurudas Kadam and Tukaram Chavan associated with the ACB conducted the operation.
