The Narcotics Control Bureau, or NCB, has made significant progress in its crackdown on drug trafficking in Goa. Notorious Nigerian drugs peddler Stanley and his wife Usha C have had their illegally acquired properties frozen by the authorities. The total value of these assets amounts to over one crore rupees.

The NCB's Goa team seized 7.35 grams of cocaine from Raju S, a resident of Saligao on the 13th of February. Further investigation revealed that Raju was just a small part of a larger drug network operated by Stanley and Usha C, who reside in Candolim.

Subsequently, on the 16th of February, the NCB successfully apprehended another associate named Michael, a taxi driver from Candolim. Although Stanley had already been arrested by the Telangana Police on the 5th of February in connection with an NDPS case, the investigation continued. It was discovered that Usha C, along with her husband, played an active role in drug trafficking and handling the illicit proceeds.

As a result, Usha C was arrested on the 21st of February, and efforts were initiated to identify their illegally acquired properties. The outcome of these efforts has seen properties worth over one crore rupees frozen by the NCB, dealing a significant blow to the drug network.
