People from Mangoor Hill can resume duty but with conditions, essentials open: CM

A big relief for the people of Mangoor Hill. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced on Monday that people from Mangoor Hill containment zone can now go to work. But with conditions. Get tested and after resuming duty stay out of the containment area. Chief Minister has also allowed to open essential shops.

People from Mangoor Hill and Zuari Nagar containment zone had lost their cool and hit the streets once again on Sunday.

They allege job losses and no food.

The Chief Minister convened a meeting with Cortalim MLA Alina Saldhana, Dabolim MLA Mauvin Godhino, Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida and DGP Rajesh Kumar Meena on Mangor Hill.

Meanwhile, local councilor Saifullah Khan has demanded that testing be ramped up at Mangoor Hill and test every resident in containment zone.

Residents of Mangoor Hill also complained there was improper supply of food items.
