Nerul goes for 8 days Lockdown

Nerul Village Panchayat has decided to go in for a lockdown. A meeting was held at Nerul Panchayat after 26 new Covid19 cases were found the village. It has been now decided that Nerul will go for a 8 days lockdown.



However essentials like grocery shops & pharmacies will remain open from 7 am to 12 noon.


On Sunday, the Nerul village was declared a micro-contaminated Zone.


Soon after hearing this news on Monday morning a meeting was called by local MLA Jayesh Salgaonkar where the deputy collector, health officials, police and panchayat members met.


There it was decided that the area will go in for a lockdown fearing a rise in cases. Even the roads are sealed.
