Govt opts for antibody test at Mangoor

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Monday announced that he would conduct antibody test in Mangoor Hill containment zone. Chief Minister says anti-body test confirm if person has developed an antigen against coronavirus and infected person cannot spread virus after 10 days of testing positive.



People for Mangoor Hill are put in containment zone for last 53 days.


They have lost their cool citing job losses, demanding to release them from containment zone.


And they also allege that they have no food.


Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida has requested Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to conduct mass testing within a specific time in the containment zones.


He has also requested the chief minister to streamline the food supplies.


The Chief Minister held a review meeting about the Covid situation in Bicholim taluka on Monday at the Bicholim Police station.


Mayem Sarpanch, Sankhali and Bicholim chairpersons, health officers , mamletdar, deputy collector, SP north were present for the meeting.


Mademol Fatorpa villagers have demanded exemption from lockdown citing major problems.


Cuncolim has now opened its market on Wednesday.


Talaulim locals were tested for corona virus at sub district hospital in Ponda.
