Coronavirus recoveries almost reach 5 lakhs

Coronavirus recoveries in India reach almost five lakhs with active cases reaching 2.69 lakhs. The total number of cases has increased to 7,67,296 after the biggest one-day spike of 24,879 cases. Meanwhile, coronavirus death toll in the country has surged to 21,129.



The recovery rate of coronavirus has improved to 62%. Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan has once again clarified that there is no community transmission in India.


While Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India will have an important role in developing and in scaling up production of the vaccine once it is discovered.


Lockdown is not solution to control Covid 19 but social distancing, wearing mask and following MHA guidelines is best preventive measure to avoid spread of corona, reiterated Cooperative Minister Govind Gaude.


Lockdown would lead to unemployment problems as already so many people lost jobs or been sacked from jobs on account of the lockdown, he said.


Aam Aadmi party has demanded that Loutolim and Verna be declared as containment zone.
