Corona case spook Goa villages

Even as the third death was reported on Saturday and infection was found in the Moti Dongor area of Margao, the state saw the highest positive cases recorded till date on Saturday -89. Many of the villages in the state are continuing their efforts to try and curtail the infections on their own even as the government seeks to calm things down.

The positive cases found at Moti dhongor have created fear in the minds of people from Margao. That it not turn out into another Mangoor Hill, given the similarity. The authorities have begun cordoning off the area and people themselves said tha tpeople should refrain from going out nor outside people come in.   

As Covid 19 figures rise in Salcete villages, Chinchinim has called for a lockdown for a week from Sunday. Cuncolim and Panzorconi have also called for a lockdown of one week.
