100% lockdown, extension needed, people say

People and shop owners want the lockdown to be extended. They want a strict and 100% lockdown. Instead of doing partial lockdown a 15 days strict lockdown should be implemented, they say. Here are the visuals of the Sunday Lockdown in the state.

 

 

 

 Our reporters went to Sanvordem, Curchorem, Cacora, Quepem, Margao, Ponda, Bicholim, Calangute to take stock of the lockdown. Most things were was shut. Except petrol pump, health center, vegetables market. Watch the glimpses of lockdown. 

 

Everything was silent at Quepem, Cuncolim and Balli. Shopkeepers voluntarily closed down their shops. Locals say they are ready to face lockdown heat if it helps to curb prevailing situation of covid. 

 

 Now watch the visuals of Margao, Calangute and Ponda. Tourist destination Calangute was deserted. Bus stand at Ponda was abandoned as there were no people. A shopkeeper said lockdown definitely hits their earnings but if lockdown is done to control covid-19 cases than do it fully.
