French film Particles bags Golden Peacock, Silver Peacock by Lio Jose

Particles, the French film directed by Blaise Harrison bagged the Best Film Award IFFI 2019 as the 50th edition of film festival came to a close.



The Silver Peacock for best director award was given to Lijo Jose Pellissery for the film Jallikattu.


Marathi female actor Usha Jadhav got the best actor award for Mai Ghat.


Seu Jorge won the best Male actor award for his potrayal of Carlos Marighella in the Brazilian movie Marighella


Centenary award for best Debut Film was shared between Amin sidi Boumediene for Abou Leila and Marius Olteanu for Monsters.


IFFI got the ICFT-Unesco Fellini medal while the film Rawanda directed by Ricardo Salvetti won the ICFT-UNESCO Gandhi Medal instituted by the International Council for Film, Television and Audiovisual Communication.


Bahattar Hoorain, the Indian Movie directed by Sanjay P Singh Chauhan got the special mention under this category.
