300 films across 76 countries to be screened at IFFI: CM

300 films from across 76 countries will be screened at the golden jubilee edition of the International Film Festival of India. A total of 9,300 delegates have registered, out of which 7000 delegates have confirmed.



Along with open air screenings there will be mobile screenings in 5 remote talukas, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said during the festivals curtain raiser on Tuesday. 


Chief Minister said that a short-film making competition has also been organised during IFFI.


And a total of 20 awards will be distributed for national and Goan section.


Senior film actors Amitabh Bacchan and Rajanikant will be the chief guest for the inaugural and film director Karan Johar will host the program.


The chief minister also inspected the venue for the inaugural.
