150th birth anniversary of Fr. Agnelo celebrated

Agnelo Gustavo Adolfo de Souza was a Roman catholic priest of the Society of the missionaries of st. Francis Xavier, Pilar who performed missionary work in the province of Goa, then part of Portuguese.

The society based in Goa's Pilar area is commonly known as Pilar society. Goa was then part of Portuguese India, the base of Father Agnelo's missionary activities
