Goa Forward came out all guns blazing in defence of the TCP amendment bill passed in the assembly on Monday night.

The bill was defended vigorously in the house by GF supremo and TCP minister Vijai Sardesai during the discussion before it was passed.

The Bill sought to introduce new concepts like the accommodation reservation, transfer of development rights.

It was passed after the opposition demand to refer it to a select committee was defeated by a division of votes

GF also hit out at the opposition Congress daring it to speak out against the dropping of charges against its leaders on the SEZ scam.

The government on July had decided to take back around 39 lakh sq mts of land by paying around 257 crores and withdraw cases against senior leaders.
