The number of COVID-19 cases in Goa and other states is increasing by the day. Mock drills were conducted in various parts of Goa today to review preparations and facilities as per central guidelines.

The drill sought to review preparedness and hospital facilities in case of COVID-19 cases rise further. Check out the mock drills at Panaji and Vasco hospitals.

Health Minister VishwajItRane said that health facilities in the state are ready to face any emergency. Rane stressed that the state government will follow all the protocols issued by the Union Health Ministry.

Transport Minister MavinGodinho added that a separate isolation ward has been set up in Chicalim where patients with COVID-like symptoms will be tested. Meanwhile, India has reported 5,880 new cases today. The death toll has risen to 530,979 with 14 deaths.
