Yes, Baina needs a new fish market & it's urgent

Baina needs a new fish market and very soon. The condition needs to improve immediately. Now, it’s not a new demand but finally Murgao Municipal council has promised to take up reconstruction works of the new market which was left in dilapidated conditions since last several years.

   Baina fish market is more than 45 year old. The place needs immediate attention. The market is in absolute mess and fish vendors want their situation to improve. Several times in the past fish vendors have raised their grievances but to no avail. 

The roof has been leaking, the place is badly lit and what’s worse is, there is no one to clean the place.

 

 But now when we asked the MLA, he has promised to complete the unfinished work by mid this year.

 The vendors however want the work to be completed as soon as possible but current condition is extremely unhygienic but till the current place is renovated they want a make shift market for them to continue their business
