Bank A/cs 'debited' through unauthorised ATM transactions

The police said that some people from Vasco received messages on their cell phones, which are linked to their bank accounts, of money being withdrawn from their bank accounts through ATM transactions.

It is not known as how much money was withdrawn through ATMs. This has happened before and some people had even been caught for this.

For this to happen again raises questions about the safety of usage of these cards at a time when the government is encouraging cashless transactions.
