CM’s visits gives boost to infrastructure work in Mapusa

Mapusa town faces a host of problems. There is no proper sewage treatment plant, roads are in bad condition.



 The chief minister has assured to give a boost to the ongoing and new projects in the pipeline.  

 On Tuesday,  Chief Minister  Manohar Parrikar visited Mapusa Deputy collector’s office and interacted with the officials from PWD, Electricity, JICA, PDA, Sub-registrar office WRD, Mapusa Municipal Council, Bardez Bazaar, Mapusa Merchants’ Association over various issues faced by Mapusa town.

The chief minister assured that a new lift will be installed at  Mapusa Sub-Registrar’s office, more space will be allotted to Collector’s office, the new market project will get 20 crore rupees, sewage treatment plant will be commissioned by December and damaged roads will be repaired soon.

Meanwhile,  Resident of Bastora Surekha Halarnkar who had suffered a lightning strike three years back seized the opportunity.

She apprised the chief minister of the delay in getting compensation. She stated that she was made to go from pillar to post for compensation.

The chief minister directed the officials present to look into the matter.
