President of the Goa State Congress PartyLuizinho Faleiro feels that two airports of Daboli and Mopa cannot function simulteneosuly until Navy hands over 50 thousand square metres of additional land for the civilian airport.

He has demanded that Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar should take initiative in giving this additional land.

Opposition Leader PratapsinghRane, Former Chief Minister Francisco Sardinha, Central Congress Leader Oscar Fernandes and other party office bearers paid tributes to Chacha Nehru at the Congress Bhavan in Panaji.

Faleiro took this opportunity to react to Parrikar’s announcement that both Dabolim and Mopa would function simultaneously. 

Pratapsing Rane had attended the official function of laying foundation stone of Mopa airport at the hands of prime minister Narendra Modi, as the opposition leader.

But according to him, some other leaders were at the function to  please the BJP leaders.

He was obviously referring to two Congress MLAs – Mauvin Godinho and Pandurang Madkaikar.
