Vishnu Wagh to receive State funeral, cremation on sunday

The final rites on former deputy speaker Vishnu Vagh will be on Sunday at Dhavli.



He will cremated with full State honours.


The mortal remains will be kept in state for public to pay their respects at Dayanand Bandodkar ground, Ponda from 9 in the morning to 3 in the evening.


Cremation will be at 4 in the evening.


Art and Culture Minister Govind Gawade told media that after Vishnu's cadaver arrives at airport early on Sunday morning, it will taken to his residence in Dhavli.


It will be kept there till 8.45 in the morning after which it will be moved to Dayanand Bandodkar ground.


After the final rites he will cremated at Ponda Municipality crematorium. 


Elaborate traffic managements are done for the people paying condolence visit to Vagh.
