Merces bid adieus to former sarpanch Prakash Naik

The Merces panch Prakash Naik shot himself in his own house on Friday morning. Before he committed suicide, he had posted on a WhatsApp group of his friends, blaming Wilson Godinho and one Tahir for driving him to take this extreme step.

Earlier, the family members had refused to accept his dead body till the accused were arrested.

On Monday, the dead body of Prakash was accepted by the family after Old Goa police registered a FIR against two accused.
