Goa is reeling under relentless wildfires for almost a week now. Firefighters have now been battling flames along the hillocks of Parra and Assagao. However, a lack of manpower and preparedness has proven dear, as locals are now having to step up to the challenge. Here’s Sameep Narvekar reporting from among the blaze in Parra.
