Landslide at Pernem, track blocked for hours

On Wednesday late night a landslide was reported near the Pernem tunnel. Luckily no causalities were reported. 

The incident that occurred late on Wednesday night resulted in the blocking of the railway track for about a 300 mts stretch.

Hence all trains on this route were diverted to Margao and other areas.

Locals say that this landslide issue happens on and off and have demanded that these spots be identified and corrective action takes place so that such incident don't occur again.
