In a dramatic turn of events, a major fire engulfed a locked second-floor flat in Greater Noida's Gaur City, specifically in the 16th Avenue building. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident. Here’s more.




At approximately 9:40 am, the fire broke out, prompting residents to alert the fire station. Three fire tenders rushed to the scene, who battled the flames for two hours. Preliminary investigations revealed that the flat's owner, Rahul Pandit, was away on a trip to Jammu and Kashmir when the fire occurred. The locked flat suggests a possible short-circuit as the cause. However, a comprehensive investigation is underway to determine the exact origin of the fire.

The flat, belonging to Rahul Pandit, suffered extensive damage, with the fire spreading to the third-floor. While the highrise's firefighting system played its part, the rapid nature of the fire necessitated the assistance of fire tenders.Gautam Budh Nagar's Chief Fire Officer mentioned that, with the help of the maintenance team, they had to break the lock to gain control over the fire.
