Fire at a scrapyard godown in Karapur causes Rs 15 lakh loss

 The scrap was stashed on the ground plus first floor. The whole godown was reduced to ashes.

The cause of the fire is not known.

 A fire officer told Goa365, it was a huge godown and the fire caused extensive loss to the owner.

The total loss is estimated at around 5 lakh rupees. Firemen managed to save scrap worth 25 lakh rupees.

The godown is situated in a residential location.
