Cyclone pushes rain clouds towards Goa, Red Alert preponed to Thursday night

The red alert issued by Indian Meteorology Department has been preponed to Thursday. Goa will receive heavy rainfall with gusty winds from 8 O'clock tonight till morning 8 O'clock on Friday. Even the cyclone will not hit Goa but will pass off 250 kilometres from the Goan coast. But wind is likely to go up to 70 kilometres per hour over the State.



At present cyclone is traveling along the east coast and is intensifying. On Friday evening it will move toward the west.

This will lead to decrease in rainfall to  some extent but heavy rains will continue lashing the State.
