HC clears beach shack policy, shacks may come up by Nov

The high court has finally cleared the beach shack policy. And the shacks will come up on the beaches, hopefully before November starts. The court has not made any changes to the government policy.

While National Green Tribunal has stayed the shack allotment for not having the Coastal Zone Management Plan, some unemployed youth had challenged the shack policy framed by the government before the high court.

Shack owners’ President Cruz Cardoz is happy that shack business would now start, though they are delayed by one month.
