Cabinet approves Beach shack policy; several other major announcements made: WATCH

The State Cabinet today approved the Goa Beach Shack policy 2023 by which 90% of the shacks will be allocated to experienced shack business operators while 10 % of shacks will be allotted to new entrepreneurs from Goa. Other key decisions of the cabinet included policy approvals of iron ore dump handling and land transfer from DRDA to the Tourism department for a mall.

Cabinet decisions:

➤Policy for regulating iron ore dump handling in the state of Goa approved

➤Project Management Consultancy for Kunbi Handloom Village at Sanguem allocated to Darashaw & Company

➤10,000 sq mtr land to be transferred from DRDA to Tourism Dept for Unity Mall, a central govt project for promoting the sale of each state's 'One district, One product' and handicraft products.

➤Expenditure sanction of Rs 63 crore towards pending payment of Wellness pharmacy at GMC Hospital

➤Introduction of a single file system in Directorate of Public Grievances
