Verna SC beats Guardian Angels SC, enters quarters of St. Joseph festival football tournament

Both teams toiled hard in the first half, however, Guardian Angel SC scored in the 8^th minute through Maximo Dcosta taking an early lead.

Verna were trailing early on with zero goals to their name until Andrus John scored an equalizer in the 25^th minute with both teams deadlocked at 1-1 at the end of 1^st half. Guradian Angels SC once again took a crucial lead with Milton Fernandes netting a goal in the 38^th minute,

however, an inspired comeback by Verna SC once again equalized in the 55^th minute following which Verna’s Meclito Dcosta netted a match winning goal for his team 5 minutes later. Guadian Angels twice took the lead but couldn’t hold on to it resulting in their defeat.
