ATK lifted the 2019-20 Hero Indian Super League trophy following a 3-1 win against Chennaiyin FC in the final held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Fatorda on Saturday.

Javier Hernandez (10') and Edu Garcia (48') put ATK in the driving seat but Nerijus Valskis (69') reduced their advantage to set up a tense end to the contest. Hernandez scored another in injury time (90+4') to confirm a record third title. ATK got their third winning goal of the night and struck the final blow in the last minute of injury time. Substitute Pronay Halder lifted the ball over the Chennaiyin defence into the path of Hernandez who slotted the ball home.

However for the first time in history the Fotress Fatorda was seen empty for any of the match played here at the PNJ stadium. As known the finals were played closed doors towards the safety of the fans, players and visitors from the Corona virus.
