Woman swimming coach a must: Digamber

Goa Swimming Association President Digamber Kamat has recommended that a lady coach and a assistant coach be appointed on a urgent and priority basic considering that there are 60 RCG at Mapusa. He said that these swimmers have the potential to represent Goa in the upcoming National Games to be held in Goa.

The president said that after the recent allegations of the swimming Coach Sanjit Ganguly molesting a young girl swimmer, it was important to have a woman coach. The Sports Authority of Goa and Director of Sports and Youth Affairs is to appoint two coaches on an immediate basis.
