SIO for politicos to implement Right to Education Act in toto

Students Islamic Organisation wants political parties to include in their manifestos that they will implement the Right to Education Act in toto.



The SIO also demands 6 to 7 per cent of the GDP devoted to education and protection of marginalised students.


SIO is the students' wing of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind and was formed in 1982.


According to its constitution, it aims at presenting Da’wah before students and youth, promote virtues, and moral values in educational institutions.


The organisation said that it wants the political parties to include the implementation of Rangannath Mishra Commission report that has recommended 15 per cent reservation in jobs and education for minorities.
