Javdekar seeks 15 days more time on Mhadei row

After lot of hue and cry over the formation of committee on Mhadei issue, Union Minister for Environment and Forest Prakash Javdekar wants 15 days more to take a call on the issue.



However, the the NGOs and political parties have refused to accept this and decided to go ahead with their protests.


They are adamant that the consent letter given to Kalsa-Bhandura project be revoked.


Progressive Front of Goa members Hriduynath Shirodkar and Mahesh Mhambrey along with Goa Forward vice-president Durgadas Kamat, former MLA Lavoo Mamletdar, Prajal Sakhardande and Claude Alvares met Javdekar and Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday morning at a city five star.


After the meeting Shirodkar said that the union minister listened to them but refused to take a decision. And asked for 15 days time.


This he said, was not acceptable to them along with the formation of the committee.
