There are misconception about conversions in Goa. Portuguese never converted anyone at the tip of sword. But the Hindus converted to Christianity due to Saraswat Brahmins greed for land, Hindu caste system and superstitions, businessmen and literature Datta Damodar Naik said recounting similarities in Swami Vivekananda statements and Raju Nayak's book.



Datta Damodar Naik was speaking during launching of Raju Naik's book Sushegad at Delmon hotel in Panaji.


Former Law Minister Ramakant Khalap and prof Parag Porob were present.

Raju Nayak said neighbouring people from Sindhudurga and Karwar should be welcomed in Goa to strengthen the Konkani people and to make Konkani people stay in Goa.
