Controversy has hit the Mopa airport construction work again.

Tulaskarwadi is in Pernem, next to the Mopa airport.

Locals from the area woke to in shock after persons connected to the Mopa airport concessionaire started demarcating the area claiming it was for the airport on their lands.

Upset, they stopped the work telling the workers that the land belonged to them and was not acquired for the Mopa airport.

They alleged that the authorities chopped down their trees arbitrarily.

The controversy over the greenfield Mopa airport is refusing to lie down.

Land owners were up in arms alleging that the government had taken their land and ignored them completely.

A few months ago, another controversy had arisen after the government had taken up the demolition of some cattle sheds calling them illegal.

Now, villagers from Tulaskarwadi alleged Mopa airport authorities came and started demarcating boundaries on their land.

They alleged they were not issued any notice about this and demanded that authorities leave their lands alone.
