Villagers also resolved to stop gambling activities in panchayat jurisdiction.

Aquem Baixo became the first gram panchayat in the state to conduct the gram sabha without police protection.

Issues such drains, gambling, prostitution, alcohol consumption, 14 finance and telecommunication towers were also discussed at the gram sabha on Sunday.

A resolution was also passed in gram sabha requesting PWD Minister Sudin Dhavlikar to repair and reconstruct all the approx 14 km of drains in Aquem Baixo.
