Apheresis Technology Machine now at Manipal Hospital

Manipal Hospital takes another step to provide world-class healthcare. On Wednesday, a new machine that separates donated blood into its components was inaugurated at Manipal Hospital. This is the first of its kind machine in Goa that will help doctors in blood transfusion.

The Apheresis Technology  machine was inaugurated by Health Minister Vishwajit Rane in the presence of  head of oncology department Shekhar Salkar and other staff of Manipal Hospital.

Apheresis machine is a device that separates donor's blood into its various components such as  plasma, platelets, white blood cells and red blood cells. 

The health minister congratulated Manipal Hospitals and said that this machine will help in saving lives, especially in dengue cases.
