This is a scene at Vasco market.  And instead of asking the government, people are seen asking vendors why tomatoes are become so expensive.

Onions, potatoes, tomatoes, chilies are basic things which are needed in the kitchen. Onions might look small but it has toppled governments.

As present, tomato price rise has  dominated the market. Tomato which costs 61 rupees kgs at the horticulture outlets are cost 80-100 rupees per kg in the open markets. Watch.

Even the vegetable vendors have expressed their concerns over the tomato hike. Earlier people use to buy tomatoes in huge quantities. Now people are buying a quarter or half kilo. Their vegetables are not getting sold due to this high price, complain vendors.
