Oppa water levels dip alarmingly; its okay say officials

On Monday the water level was 1.85 MLA and on Tuesday it dipped down to 1.75 MLD.

Locals fear that if water level further dips down Ponda and Tiswadi talukas might be affected.

Opa supplies water large areas of North and certain parts of South Goa.

There are efforts underway to maintain water level by supplying additional water to Opa from a fourth Bandhara.
