Never used Mhadei for publicity: Rajendra Kerkar

Environmentalist Rajendra Kerkar on Sunday refuted Goa Forward's allegation that he is using the Mhadei issue as a publicity stunt. He said that he stood by his stand that Goa Forwards petition in the NGT had hampered the interest of the state.

Environmentalist Rajendra Kerkar had said Goa Forward's petition had worsened the Mahdei issue as now the state would have to prove the Mhadei water diverted by Karnataka is not for drinking purposes. Goa Forward reacted to this statement accusing Kerkar of using the Mhadai issue for cheap publicity.
