Monsoon in Goa witnesses highest ever in this century, Rains to continue for 5 days

For the first time in history Goa has witnessed a rainfall of nearly 412 cm, 41% higher than last year. The monsoon season in Goa officially ends in next 5 days. But the IMD says that Goa will get moderate rainfall until the end of September.



Speaking to Goa365, IMD Scientist said that light to moderate spells of rain is very likely to continue at many places over North goa and South goa district during next 5 days. However some of the isolated places may witness heavy rainfall. In last 48 hours area like Mormugao recorded 8 cm rainfall, Ponda and Sanguem areas 6 cm while other places in North and South recorded 2 to 3 cm rainfall. Listen in to what the IMD has to say.
