Govt decided to stop cashew plantation auction: Feni producers

The organisation said it was bought to their notice that the Excise department has decided to stop auction of plantations.

If this happens than this 200 year old business and the base of the people dependent on this business will be destroyed, they said. 

The cashew plantation auction will be shut from next year.

Government wants to take this business in their own hands, the organisation said in a meeting at Bordem in Bicholim.

They have decided to meet the Excise department on the issue.
