Cyclone Vayu skips Goa, heads towards north-west

The cyclonic storm Vayu has moved towards north west sparing Goa from the full brunt of its 135 km winds and rains. However, the state has got squally weather including rains, winds and overcast skies.



Cyclone Vayu that was heading towards west coast of India took a turn towards north west and will make a landfall in Gujarat after gaining more speed. However, fishermen in Goa are advised not to venture into deep sea.


According to Panaji Met office, this time South Goa received more rain than North Goa.
