The Opposition submits representation to Goa Governor Satya Pal Malik, saying Goa government has murdered democracy by rejecting discussion on Covid pandemic & passing state budget 2020-21 without proper discussion in Goa Legislative Assembly. The Opposition has demanded presidential rule in Goa.

On Monday during the one day long monsoon assembly session the Opposition asked the speaker to take up adjournment motion to discuss Covid-19 situation in state. However, the speaker disallowed this motion, leading to ruckus in the house after the members of opposition protested by coming down to well. Later the Opposition members walked out of the house after speaker rejected their demand of adjournment motion on Covid-19 situation in state.

After meeting the Governor Satya Pal Malik on Monday, the united opposition members demanded that presidential rule should be implemented as freedom of speech and democracy in Goa has been killed by the Government led by Pramod Sawant.
