Navy's proposal to seek NOC for development works will affect investment: Vijai

Goa Forward president Vijai Sardesai argued that the huge investment that could come into Goa through programs like Vibrant Goa would be at a huge risk if the decision that a NOC from Navy is needed before any development work is undertaken is not withdrawn.

He said that even the government decision of giving permission to industrial units within 15 days via single window will fall flat in case the order is not withdrawn Immediately.

Former TCP minister Dy CM Vijai Sardesai has come out strongly against the Navy's proposal that a NOC from it was needed for any development works within 20 kms radius of the flying zone.

He said Naval order was a way to encroach on State powers and must be withdrawn immediately.

He wanted the TCP minister to take the initiative and withdraw this order.

He also wanted Shripad Naik, the Minister of State for Defence, to also take an initiative on the issue.
