MLA Prasad Goankar a liar, creating confusion, playing politics: BJP

Sanguem MLA Prasad Gaonkar was ripped apart in a no holds barred attacked by the BJP. Thsi was in reaction to his statement on IIT and his meeting CM on Sanjivanni sugar factory. Prasad had welcomed the IIT to Sanguem. Reacting to this, BJP leader Damu Naik called Prasad a liar, accusing him of misleading the people. Former sport minister Ramesh Tawadkar also alleged Prasad is playing politics on the sugar factory by only taking farmers who are close to him to to meet the CM on the Sanjivanni factory issue.

Bring IIT back in Sanguem if Melaulikars are opposing the project. IIT is welcomed in Sanguem and no one will oppose it, Prasad had said. He had also met the Chief Minister along with delegation of sugarcane farmers from Sanguem and given him a proposal on Sanjivanee. Chief Minister had rejected his proposal.
